WHEN DID YOU FIRST START PLAYING YOUR INSTRUMENT?  WHAT AGE?

I started playing guitar at the age of 15.

 

FAVORITE TRACK OFF THE NEO GEO RECORD?  WHY?

I really like all of them,  but if i had to choose, then THS.  Just cause it’s progressive and it has great dynamics.

 

WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST TOUR STORY TO DATE?

There’s too many. haha I remember this one time a when I was playing in Greenwich Meantime( a Celtic rock group/Irish music),   we played this outdoor Amphitheater in Pennsylvania. During the set I noticed this photographer taking a lot of pics of me near my side of the stage,  so I had this idea.  I new there was a part of a song where I could do this big jump and thought if I looked at the photographer and gave a subtle nod that maybe they would understand that something was about to happen and maybe get a great mid air pic or something.

So anyways, we were approaching that part of the song,  I give the nod/head head gesture to the camera person,  they totally understood and raised the camera up right away and were ready.   The part came up,  I jumped in the air , and got some really good air,  but as I was coming down my feet slipped and I fell flat on my back. I heard the large crowd react, I kept playing on my back with this acoustic guitar on my chest, the band never stopped, I got up and kept playing the song as if nothing ever happened.

In the end, the Photographer actually did get the mid air pic!,  but it also found its way on youtube , so you can actually see the whole thing go down on video. Out of all of this I learned never to wear sandals on stage,  not very good traction.

IF YOU WEREN’T A MUSICIAN, WHAT CAREER WOULD YOU HAVE?

Probably working in a factory as a machine operator, or forklift operator or something,  Done lots of that growing up so its kinda all I really know.

 

WHAT BANDS DEFINED YOU GROWING UP?

Metallica, NIN, Faith no more, Korn, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Sepultura, Foofighters, Pantera, Rage against the machine,  Tool, Filter,  Our Lady Peace, Alice in Chains, Incubus, Mars Volta, etc….

 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY?

That its totally broken right now, and unpredictable. 

 

IF YOU COULD DO A DUET OR CO-WRITE WITH ANY ARTIST, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

I would love to play a song with Metallica live. “Master of puppets”  or maybe “Battery”. I’d like to co-write with NIN , that would be pretty amazing.
