First let’s understand what R&B music is and where it came from…
R & B, commonly shortened as R&B or RnB, is a genre of popular African-American music that originated in the 1940s. The term was initially used by record labels to describe records promoted primarily to urban African Americans, in a time when “urbane, rocking, jazz based music with a heavy, insistent beat” was gaining popularity. In blues music and the commercial rhythm typical of the 1950s during the 1970s, the bands consisted of background vocalists, one or two guitars, bass guitar, drums, saxophone, and sometimes piano. R&B lyrical themes frequently encapsulate the African American experience of pain, as well as the quest for independence and joy Words, concentrate heavily on the ideas of failures and triumphs with regards to associations, freedom, economics, aspirations, and sex.
In my opinion R&B is just the best music genre there is. It’s filled with soulful and melodic melodies that touch the listener that no other music can. When you hear the runs from someone like Brian McKnight, Tank, or Marques Houston, you can’t help but feel moved.
It’s my goal to being the best R&B music to the world, whether it’s new or old, I want people to know about it.
